Author Guidelines for Paper Submission to GJETA

The Global Journal of Engineering and Technology Advances (GJETA) welcomes high-quality and original research contributions in various fields of engineering, technology, and applied sciences. These guidelines are intended to help authors prepare and submit manuscripts in accordance with the journal’s editorial policies, formatting requirements, and ethical standards.

Authors are strongly advised to read these instructions carefully before submitting their manuscripts to ensure smooth peer review, ethical compliance, and timely publication.


Aim and Scope

The Global Journal of Engineering and Technology Advances (GJETA) publishes high-quality research articles that contribute to the advancement of engineering, technology, and related scientific disciplines.

The journal encourages submissions in areas including but not limited to:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • Computer Science and Information Technology
  • Artificial Intelligence and Data Science
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Applied Sciences and Emerging Technologies

Only original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration elsewhere will be considered for publication. All submissions undergo rigorous peer review. Accepted manuscripts are published online shortly after final acceptance.

There is no submission fee. A low Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied only after acceptance to cover editorial processing, peer review management, digital hosting, and publication services.


Manuscript Categories

GJETA accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles
  • Short Communications
  • Technical Notes
  • Case Studies

Manuscript Length Guidelines

Research Articles: Recommended length: 20 pages including tables, figures, and references. 

Review Articles: Recommended length: 20 pages including tables, figures, and references. 

Short Communications: Recommended length: 10 pages with up to 5 tables or figures.

Case Studies / Technical Notes: Recommended length: 10 pages with up to 5 figures or tables.

Authors are encouraged to present their work clearly and concisely while avoiding redundancy. Use Font size 12 and line spacing 1.5.


Manuscript Preparation

Formatting Requirements

Manuscripts must follow these formatting requirements:

  • Paper size: A4
  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font size: 12 pt
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Alignment: Justified
  • Page numbering: Bottom right
  • Line numbering: Continuous
  • File format: MS Word (.doc or .docx)

Structure of the Manuscript

1. Title Page

The title page should contain:

  • Clear, concise, and informative article title
  • Full names of all authors
  • Institutional affiliations with complete addresses
  • Superscript letters linking authors to affiliations
  • Corresponding author marked with (*)
  • Complete correspondence details including email
  • Email addresses of all authors

2. Abstract and Keywords

Abstract: 

  • Maximum 250 words
  • Must clearly state objective, methodology, key findings, and conclusion
  • Must be self-contained and informative
  • Avoid citations and references

Keywords

Provide 4–6 keywords immediately after the abstract for indexing purposes.

3. Introduction

The introduction should provide background information, explain the significance of the study, and clearly state the research objective or hypothesis.

4. Materials and Methods

This section must provide sufficient detail to allow reproducibility of the study.

Include:

  • Materials and instruments used
  • Experimental procedures
  • Sources of specialized chemicals or equipment
  • Statistical analysis methods

5. Results and Discussion

Results should be presented clearly and concisely. This section may be presented separately or combined with discussion.

  • Tables and figures must be cited sequentially.
  • Figures should be at least 300 dpi resolution.
  • Avoid duplication of data between tables and text.

6. Conclusion

The conclusion should summarize the main findings and significance of the research. Avoid repetition of the abstract and do not cite references in this section.

7. Acknowledgements

Authors may acknowledge funding sources, grants, institutional support, or contributions that assisted in the research.

8. Conflict of Interest

All authors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest related to the research.

9. References

GJETA follows the Vancouver referencing style.

In-Text Citation

References must be cited using numbers in square brackets.

Example:
β€œβ€¦as previously reported [3,6].”

Reference List
  • References must appear in numerical order as cited in the text.
  • Do not arrange alphabetically.
  • Follow Vancouver format for journal articles, books, chapters, patents, theses, and websites.

Tables and Figures

Place tables and figures close to the relevant text. 

Avoid vertical lines in tables.

  • Figures must be minimum 300 dpi resolution.
  • Captions must appear below figures.
  • Color figures are accepted without additional charges.

Peer Review Process

  • All manuscripts submitted to GJETA undergo initial editorial screening followed by peer review by experts in the relevant field.
  • Authors typically receive reviewer feedback within 3–4 weeks.
  • Accepted manuscripts are usually published online within approximately one week after final acceptance.

Proofs and Author Access

  • Electronic proofs (PDF) will be sent to the corresponding author for final review.
  • Only minor corrections are allowed at the proof stage.
  • Authors will receive free access to the final published article, which may be downloaded and shared without restriction.
