Abstract:
Additive manufacturing is becoming an integral part of production technologies with a constantly growing share. The paper is dedicated to the research of the geometrical accuracy of FDM technology with respect to the used control software. The aim of the experiment was to compare the 3D printer's own control software called G3DMaker and the universal control software Simplify3D, where it was possible to confirm the significant influence of the software on the quality of prints. The geometric and dimensional deviations of the samples printed in both software were compared, as well as the quality of the 3D printing surface itself.
