Peer Review and Editorial Procedure at GJETA
1. Overview
Peer review is a fundamental component of the scholarly publishing process and ensures that Global Journal of Engineering and Technology Advances (GJETA) maintains high academic and ethical standards.
All submitted manuscripts undergo a structured, transparent, and rigorous peer-review process conducted by qualified independent experts.
2. Initial Editorial Assessment
Upon submission:
Technical Pre-Check
The Managing Editor conducts an initial screening to ensure:
- Compliance with author guidelines
- Completeness of submission files
- Plagiarism screening
- Ethical approval statements (where applicable)
Editorial Pre-Check
An Academic Editor (Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board Member, or Guest Editor) evaluates:
- Relevance to journal scope
- Scientific quality and originality
- Ethical compliance
At this stage, the manuscript may:
- Proceed to peer review
- Be returned for technical revision
- Be rejected (if out of scope or scientifically inadequate)
3. Peer Review Process
GJETA operates double-blind peer review, depending on article type.
- Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers
- Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise
- Authors may be asked to revise the manuscript
- A second round of peer review may be conducted if required
- Final decisions are made by the Academic Editor

Accepted manuscripts undergo:
- Professional copyediting
- English language editing
- Formatting and final proof approval
